Rock & Roll Halloween Party at RADIO!

Costumes, music, friends…what else do you need for an amazing Halloween party?  To close out the Interrobang residency at RADIO in Somerville, MA 5 Boston-area bands (including our friends, The Deep North) performed a night of covers that had the entire club singing along from start to finish.

The Steve Walther Orchestra as The Muppets

The Deep North as The Dead North

Await Rescue as The Foo Fighters

The Interrobang as Radiohead

When Particle Collide as Green Day performing

By the time I got to the venue, The Steve Walther Orchestra had already taken the stage as The Muppets.  They had some of the best costumes of the night; Waldorf, Statler, Beaker, Bunsen, Floyd Pepper, Dr. Teeth and Animal! I only wish I had taken a picture where you can see every member.

Our friends in The Deep North dressed up as The “Dead” North (aka dead musicians Amy Winehouse, John Lennon, John Entwistle and John Bonham and performed their most famous songs) and had one of the best sets I’ve ever seen them play.  I even had “Gemini” dedicated to me, an original track from their newest record “Sound & Light.”  I have lots of friends in bands but I can honestly say that I would be a fan of The Deep North regardless.  Don’t sleep on this band!

The Deep North

The Deep North are throwing their Album Release Party at RADIO on November 15th at RADIO and if their performance is even half of what I saw last night then we’re all in for one hell of a rock show.  The covers song, costumes and performers were all on point but I will admittedly say that I think I was part of the best group costume of the night.  Can you guess what animated family we were?  Note to self: don’t ever attempt emo Beiber swoopy bangs.  #cantsee #cliche #toomuchhairspray #fatsuitsarehot
